Secure all loose items to prevent movement during motion. When a vehicle is in motion, anything not fastened can become a dangerous projectile in sudden stops or turns, interfere with your ability to drive or operate equipment, or get damaged itself. The best practice is to store and secure every loose item so it cannot shift, spill, or block controls. Use straps, nets, organizers, or locked compartments to keep gear in place, and place items in appropriate storage rather than leaving them unsecured in the cabin. Hanging items from the ceiling is unsafe and impractical, and simply putting things in the trunk without proper securing can still allow movement that could cause trouble or injury.
